Plate-fin heat exchangers, also known as plate finned heat exchangers, represent a type of highly efficient heat exchanger that is widely used in various industries. Plate-fin heat exchangers work based on the principle of conduction and forced convection. The hot fluid flows through one set of channels (passages) and transfers heat to the fins, which then increase the heat transfer surface area.
